Roots & Rivers Tai Chi Workshop

A week of practice, curiosity, and steady attention to the body. Over the course of the week we will work with rootedness and flow, strength and softness, structure and ease. No previous experience is required. Those with an existing practice are very welcome.

    • $950 if paid in full by Jan.31

    • Optional accommodation for 7 nights at the beautiful Palazzo Hudson, pool, hot tub and sauna included Four rooms available (1-2 people per room) $1500 per room.

  • Mon 5/18–Fri 5/22 3:00–5:30 p.m. in the Ketay Garden (weather permitting)

    Sat 5/23 & Sun 5/24 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at the Hudson Milliner, 415 Warren st., Hudson NY

    There will be a celebration dinner for participants on Sat evening, 5/23, at The Hudson Milliner.

About

Sauro Somigli was born in Florence and is an internationally renowned martial artist and teacher with over 50 years of dedicated practice. A 6th dan in Shotokan Karate, he is also skilled in Kendo and Kobudo, and has taught Tai Chi for decades across the Yang, Sun, and Chen styles. His background includes Qi Gong, Hatha Yoga, and Iaido, and he brings rare depth and presence to his work with people of all ages—from professional dancers to children and individuals with special needs. In 1996, he founded Apeiron, an international volunteer organization, and from 2001 – 2008, he lived in Kathmandu, supporting women recovering from domestic violence. Sauro currently lives in Barcelona, Spain.
